Neuropsychological Testing:

Neuropsychological testing is traditionally for neurological or medical concerns, such as concussion, traumatic brain injury (TBI), acquired brain injury, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, stroke, brain tumor/infection, ADHD. This type of testing/evaluation includes comprehensive assessment of the following:

  • Overall cognitive functioning (IQ)

  • Attention

  • Executive functions

  • Memory

  • Verbal skills/Language

  • Non-verbal/visual spatial skills

  • Motor functioning

  • Social, emotional, behavioral & adaptive functioning.

    This type of testing/evaluation is appropriate but not always necessary for academic or educational concerns in children and adolescents without neurological or medical concerns.
